Maker Faire Istanbul 2017!

Maker Faire is an international festival where people who enjoy learning and sharing what they do come together to celebrate DIY culture. Part science fair, part county fair, and part something entirely new, Maker Faire is an all-ages gathering of tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, hobbyists, engineers, artists and students. All of these makers come to Maker Faire to show what they have made and to share what they have learned. This year Maker Faire was in Istanbul for the third time and we very lucky to be there for the first time in a very beautiful and historic atmosphere Haydarpasa Train Station which dates back to 1872. It was amazing to see many people walking between old trains and looking curiously at all the new, colourful projects.

Especially seeing many young people playing and learning electronics made us very happy. It was so surprising when we met a 6 years old who knew all about oscilloscopes and signal generators. He visited us several times because he was excited to talk about electronics and he liked being able to draw the signals as he wanted with our mobile app. For me it is so strangeto think that, these regular lab devices are 35 years older than him and today everyone is already familiar with the new technology that we are developing.

Here we met many people and seeing them getting excited about our project and giving us precious feedbacks made us even more excited. There was a high demand to our project from very different sectors and from different areas.  We realised that our product can be used in earthquake researches, for yield measurement in solar and wind energy systems, in construction, in farming and more. Getting feedback from different people from different sectors widened our market vision. At the end of the three days we very very tired but we had so much fun, we learned a lot and we had many pre-orders already! Thank you all for sharing our enthusiasm. Your feedback and excitement make us feel we are on the right path!
